Dale Michael Adams, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. He was born in Anderson, Indiana to Donald D. and Ardella J. (Karns) Adams on October 17, 1956.
Dale attended Ball State University for several years and then went to work for the city of Anderson in the Water Pollution Control department. He held several quality inspection positions throughout the years after leaving his position with the city, retiring from NTN Driveshaft in Anderson in 2024.
Dale was an avid game enthusiast and was affectionately known as Nitro in the gaming community. He was the inspiration for the character Nitro in the gaming comic Knights of the Dinner Table. He attended many game conventions throughout the years both as a participant and as a judge.
Dale was active in multiple Masonic organizations and was a Past Worshipful Master of both Solar Lodge #734 and Mount Moriah Lodge #77, Past Worthy Patron in the Order of Eastern Star #154, and Past Illustrious Grand Master of the Grand Council of Royal & Select Masters of Indiana. He was a Past Presiding Officer of Anderson Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, Anderson Council of R&S Masters, and the Anderson Commandery of Knights Templar. He was a long time Advisor and Chapter "Dad" of the Leo G. White Chapter of the Order of DeMolay, and he was knighted in the Royal Order of Scotland.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ardella (Karns) (Adams) West; a niece, Brenna Lee Adams; his stepfather, Noble West; his father, Donald Adams; and his brother, Brent Adams.
Surviving are his brother and wife, Charles (Lisa) Adams; his nephew, Michael Adams; and cousins, Judy Tarbin and Kevin Delaney.
A memorial of life and Masonic service will be held at a later date at the Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge. Cremation will take place.

I will never forget the times I played in the games hosted by Dale. He was a wonderful host and I know he will be missed by many young men that he helped to mentor over the years.
