Dale Edward Moore, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on December 31, 2024, at Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. Born on February 27, 1948, Dale was a lifelong resident of the region, noted for his friendly and outgoing personality that touched the lives of those around him.
Dale proudly graduated from Leslie County High School, an achievement that marked the beginning of a life filled with cherished memories and devoted family connections. He was known not just for his academic achievements but also for his hands-on skills, which were evident in his love for building. Fishing was a passion that brought him joy and tranquility, allowing him to connect with nature and his loved ones alike. Additionally, Dale found immense happiness in watching his granddaughter Raegan play sports, consistently cheering her on from the sidelines.
Dale’s family was his greatest pride and joy. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Nancy Moore. Their union created a loving household filled with warmth and respect. Dale is survived by his affectionate children: Eddie Dale Moore, Craig Moore (Dana), Darren Moore (Amanda), Ryan Moore (Tara), Teresa Lewis (John), Taylin Moore, Rhonda Napier (Randall), Chasity Hughes (Greg), and Krista Kemper. Dale will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Kara, East, Lucian, Hunter, Constantine, Cadence, Addison, Owen, Presley, Ryman, Ender, Ryan, Raegan, Cody, Christopher, Keaton, Matthew, and Chelsea. As well as his great-grandchildren: Willow, Theo, Tate, and Tyrian.
Dale was preceded in death by several cherished family members. He was the son of Eddie J. Moore and Cloma Porter; his sister, Venita Carol Moore; brother, Randy Moore. He also mourned the loss of an infant sister, Charlene Moore, and his granddaughter, Whitney Morgan. Additionally, he remembered his son-in-law, Marty Davidson, who also passed before him.
Dale Edward Moore will be remembered as a joyful presence, whose love for his family and friends leaves an indelible mark on all who knew him. His contributions to the lives of his loved ones will be cherished for generations, as they carry forward his values of kindness, dedication, and family unity.
A private graveside service to honor and celebrate Dale's life will be held on January 4, 2025, at Moore/Napier Family Cemetery in Hyden, Kentucky with Robbie Horton officiating.
Pallbearers: Matthew Moore, Darren Moore, Christopher Morgan, Ryan Davidson, Randall Napier, Ryan Moore, Earl Lowe, and John Joseph.
Honorary Pallbearer: Eddie Moore.
