Dan Dean Morris, 88, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing at Schoenbrunn in New Philadelphia, Ohio, after a long period of declining health. Born September 1, 1936 in Uhrichsville, he was a son of the late Clyde Vernon "Pogie" and Margaret May (Stevenson) Morris.
After his 1956 graduation from Uhrichsville High School, Dan proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He returned home to a 42-year career at Gradall Co. (the former Warner & Swasey). Dan took great pride in caring for his home and his lawn, and found great joy in attending the sporting events of his grandchildren.
On September 14, 1956, Dan married the former Glenda Marlene Meek with whom he enjoyed over 67 years of marriage until her passing on January 31, 2024. They are survived by their daughter, Danna M. Morris of the home; son, Danny (Kimberly) Morris of Bolivar; grandchildren, Cody (Ashley) Morris of Howard, Cole (Taylor) Morris of Dover, and Cori (Dominic) Bell of Bolivar; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Hunter, and Harper Morris, Marley and Alex Morris, and Barrett and Aria Bell; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Dan's wishes, his family plan a private graveside service at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville where he will be interred beside his beloved wife. In lieu of flowers, donations honoring his memory may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
