Daniel Bush Obituary

Daniel David Bush (Dan), age 82, died at his home in Rush Valley, Utah, on June 28, 2025. He was born on July 29, 1942, in Ogden, Utah, to David D. Bush and Lorraine Stonebreaker Bush. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, son Ryan Bush, stepchildren Lee DeCost, Neal DeCost, Shelley Mehlbauer (Tom), many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and sister Christine Hale. Preceded in death by his parents, stepsons Tom DeCost and John Ketchum, brother Craig Bush (Janice), sisters Shelley Bush Goins (Jim), and Lorrie Bush.
Dan graduated from Tooele High School. He served in the US Coast Guard in Louisiana. He completed 3.5 years of college while living there. He was always smart and curious. His career was spent in the commercial printing industry. He was an artist at heart and very good at what he did.
He said his life really began when he met his wife, Dorothy. They had 55 years together and she was listed in his phone as Dot My Love. She put up with his love of collecting memorabilia, antiques, and comic books. Loved by his family, dogs, cats, and old ladies, his humor and good nature will be missed.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the Rush Valley LDS Chapel, 985 North Church Street, Rush Valley, Utah, with a viewing prior from 9:30-10:45AM. Interment in the Clover Cemetery.
