Daniel Calvert, 76, of Springville, Iowa passed away on June 21, 2025, at the Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa.
Services are pending at this time.
Daniel was born on April 12, 1949, to Oliver John and Helen (Secor) Calvert in Belle Plaine, Iowa. He was raised in the Victor area and attended school in Ladora and was later a 1967 graduate of HLV High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Daniel was a dedicated over the road truck driver with several different companies throughout his career before his retirement in 2011.
On October 29, 2012 Daniel was united in marriage to Frances Hugh in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Daniel liked his classic cars and trucks. He drove them in parades in Springville and Victor and he attended many local car shows. Daniel enjoyed attending his step-grandson, Nathan's plays and his archery competitions.
Daniel is survived by his wife Frances Calvert; his step-children, Teresa (Daniel) Hanson, Tim (Jennifer) Gregory, and Airian Gregory; his step-grandson, Nathan Hanson; brother-in-law, Ron Hugh, and numerous other in-laws.
He is preceded by his parents, Oliver and Helen, his brother, David Calvert.
