Daniel F. Connolly, 42 of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly after a short battle with cancer, on July 7, 2025. The son of Paul and Mary (Bauldry) Connolly, he was born on January 7, 1983 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Dan grew up in Suamico and attended Suamico Elementary and Bayview Middle Schools and was a 2001 graduate of Bay Port High School. He was the class of 2001 valedictorian excelling in math, science, music and band. Dan attended St. Norbert’s college for one year and worked as an associate manager at Walgreens in Howard, WI after finishing High School.
Later, he enrolled at Silver Lake College in Manitowoc where he received his bachelor’s degree in 2011. Dan enjoyed serving and being part of the Silver Lake College community where he was hired to join the Admissions Department.
Dan continued his education at UW-Stevens Point pursuing a graduate Degree in Natural Resource Management and Soil and Water Conservation.
In the fall of 2023 Dan began his career with Boy Scouts of America Bay-Lakes Council as Executive Director of the Voyageur District which included Brown, Door and Kewaunee Counties. This position was a dream job of his. Dan loved the Boy Scouts, first starting as a Cub Scout, moving on as a Boy Scout, and then earning the rank of Eagle Scout in 2001. He continued in scouting working as a counselor at the Bay-Lakes Council camps and participating in other scouting activities as a volunteer.
Dan greeted everyone as a friend. He was outgoing and always willing to help other people who needed someone to stand by their side. People around him felt included and valued. Dan had a great love of nature and the outdoors. He went on his first camping trip at age five months and continued to spend much time outside from then on. He walked many paths in his life and a lot of them were through the woods and along the lakeshore.
Dan is survived by his parents Mary and Paul, his brother John (Rachel) and their children Grace and Brendan, his grandmother Virginia, many uncles and aunts: Vincent (Shelley), Michael (Christine), Mary (Steve), Rita, Paul, Susan (Bob), George (Angela), Raymond, Thomas (Tom), Joseph, Janice (Bob), Kathy (Mark), Mary Jo, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Barney and Gladys Connolly, and Vincent M. Bauldry, and an uncle Michael Connolly.
Friends and family will gather at SS. Edward and Isidore Church in Flintville from 9:00-11:00 am on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
