Danilo Faraon June 23, 1938 – May 17, 2025
Danilo Faraon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was 86 years old.
Born on June 23, 1938, in San Pablo City, Philippines, Danilo was a bright and curious child whose early promise would define the rest of his life. He pursued higher education with distinction, first attending Ateneo de San Pablo University and later the University of the Philippines, where he earned a degree in Chemical Engineering.
Danilo began his professional career at Franklin Baker, a coconut processing company, and rose through the ranks to become the nationwide manager at Bayer in the Philippines. His career allowed him to travel extensively across Europe and the United States, experiences that broadened his worldview and deepened his appreciation for other cultures.
In 1962, he married the love of his life, Maria Luisa Barrion, and together they built a strong and loving family grounded in faith, resilience, and education. In 1983, Danilo made the courageous decision to immigrate to the United States, bringing his family to New York in search of greater opportunity. He resided in Queens and later Glen Oaks, where he remained a devoted family man and community member.
Danilo was a passionate tennis enthusiast, a thoughtful conversationalist, and a man of unshakable integrity. He was deeply involved in his faith and served actively in Freemasonry, holding the position of Worshipful Master of Manahatta Lodge-a role he carried with dignity and humility.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Maria Luisa Faraon; his sisters, Sonia Belen and Emma Pantaleon; his children, Deo Faraon (Gina), Frances Nesbihal (David), and Dan Faraon; and his beloved grandchildren Georgianna Nesbihal and Alexa Reeder (Sean). He is also survived by extended family and dear friends around the world whose lives he enriched with his quiet strength and generosity.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on May 24, 2025, at Our Lady of the Snows Church in
Floral Park, NY. The Faraon family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have offered support, shared memories, and walked alongside them during this time of remembrance.
