Danny Watts Curtis passed into his heavenly glory on June 26, 2025, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on February 23, 1968, in Tularosa, NM to Murrell Curtis and Wilda Curtis (Kilgore).
Danny was a member and pastor of Dayspring Church in Seminole. He was a postman for the US Postal Service for the past 20 years and before that was your friendly voice on the radio for KIKZ KSEM from 1986-2005.
He is preceded in death by his Father Murrell Curtis, brother Perry Curtis and nephew Cory Tefertiller.
Those left to cherish his memories are: Son Landon Curtis of Seminole, Grandson Coda Curtis, mother Wilda Kilgore of Seminole, Sisters Tammy Tefertiller and husband Branson of Seminole, Brenda Payton and husband Carlos of Hobbs, NM and Rebecca Baker of Seminole. Brothers Ferlin Curtis and wife Connie of Seminole, Faron Curtis and partner Caroline of Lovington, NM and Sister-in-law Denice Curtis of Goldsmith. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday June 30th from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Ratliff Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday July 1st at 10:00 am at the MS Doss Chapel. Burial to follow at Gaines County Cemetery South.

I worked with Danny last year at the post office. He was a source of encouragement for me and his faith in Christ was a great testimony. He will be missed!
