Kyryl Didenko, 17, passed away at his residence in Gastonia, North Carolina on September 10, 2025.
He was born in Ukraine on March 5, 2008 to Serhii and Yuliia Didenko. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Nikolay Lypovets.
Kyryl moved to the United States from Ukraine 6 years ago and was a student at Forestview High School where he excelled in academics and had a bright future ahead of him with a world of possibilities. He enjoyed muscle cars and working on project cars at home. Kyryl was a great comfort to his family and loved to spend time with them and his many friends. His brief life leaves a lasting impact and many good memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Serhii and Yuliia Didenko; brother, Dominick Didenko; and his grandparents, Alex and Olga Didenko, and grandmother, Olga Lypovets.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather for an hour after the service from 2:00 until 3:00 pm. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
