Darlene Marie Bowling, 95, of Germantown, Ohio passed at 5:13 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at her home.

Darlene was born May 30, 1930, in Pike County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carlton Samual Schwartz and Grace (Breitenbach) Schwartz. She was united in marriage to Burton Bowling, who survives.

She is also survived by her three sons, Roger Tackett, Thomas Tackett, and Robert Tackett; two daughters. Cathy Church and Betty (Brad) Brayfield; 27 grandchildren; a tribe of great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sam (Cindy) Schwartz and Buddy (Sharon) Ake; and a sister, Linda Ake.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Raleigh Tackett; five children, Wade Tackett, Raymond Tackett, Rita Tackett, Edie Tackett, and Helen Salyer; and two sisters, Carolyn Rankin and Bonita Schwartz.

A proud retired waitress and devoted public servant, she was deeply patriotic and had a heart full of love for babies, family, and music. She enjoyed life's simple pleasures, from a cold Bud Light to peaceful walks through cemeteries as she honored her loved ones.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2025 at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Bridge Street.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
