David J. Citro, Jr., a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 35. Born on January 17, 1990, in Baltimore, Maryland, David's warm presence and outgoing spirit were apparent from his earliest days. He carried these qualities throughout his life, touching the hearts of all who knew him.
David was the beloved son of Paula Robin Citro. He shared a close-knit bond with his siblings, his brother Tommy Citro and his wife Mauren, as well as his sister Ashley Zirpolo and her husband Patrick. His role as "uncle day day" to Graham, Theodore, Walker, Camden, and a new nephew August on the way was a source of immense joy for him. His love for his family was evident in the care and devotion with which he approached every family gathering.
A man of faith, David lived his Catholic principles through actions – extending compassion, friendship, and a helping hand to everyone around him. His kindness and amicable nature were among his most defining attributes. He was a beacon of light in the lives of his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, whose memories of David will be treasured forever.
An avid Baltimore Orioles fan, David's love for baseball was palpable, whether he was playing catch in the park or cheering on his team from the stands. His beloved cats were his constant companions, bringing a smile to his face even on the gloomiest of days.
David's talents extended to the kitchen, where he enjoyed cooking, perfecting his favorite recipe of pork loin, mashed potatoes, and green beans. He was also a passionate fan of DC Comics, with a particular affinity for the Flash character.
David's zest for life, his boundless kindness, and his unwavering friendliness crafted a legacy that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched with his warmth and generosity. As we bid farewell to David, we celebrate the remarkable life he led and the indelible mark he left on the world
