David E. Dittmer, 55, of Calhoun, Missouri, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
He was born July 4, 1969, in Clinton, Mo., the son of David Berton Dittmer and Verna Jean (Parks) Dittmer. On March 14, 1987, he married Angela Nicole Taylor in Calhoun, Mo., and she survives of the home.
David ran heavy machinery from the young age of 12. He enjoyed tinkering with anything mechanical and was the go-to "fixer" when something was broken. He especially enjoyed working on old machinery and taking care of his cattle on the farm.
In addition to his wife Angie, survivors include 5 children, Steven Dittmer (Brittany), Calhoun, Mo., David L. Dittmer, Lenexa, Kansas, Chris Dittmer (Taylar), Moorcroft, Wyoming, Sara Micke (Mike), Calhoun, Mo., and Haley LeClaire (Michael), Calhoun, Mo., and Tim Michael who was like a son to David; 16 grandchildren, Carson, Lacie, Avery, Abby, Karley, David A., Cameron, Morgan, Easton, Charleigh, Grayson, Haven, Sawyer, Pasleigh, Angela, and Rowdy; mother-in-law, Anita Marriott (Charles), Calhoun, Mo.; a sister, Cozette Pyeatt, Vacaville, California; 2 brothers, Matt Dittmer (Mandy), Windsor, Mo., and Pat Dittmer (Amber), Clinton, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Jason Copowycz. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; his father-in-law, Don Taylor; and a brother-in-law, Jeremy Taylor.
Private family services will be under the direction of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. A memorial for funeral expenses has been established and contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.
