David Patrick Holl, affectionately known as "papa", born 4-4-1941 in Canton, Ohio, age 84, loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all who had the pleasure, passed away peacefully, at Hanover Medical Center, Sunday 7-6-2025, after a heroic and courageous long battle of kidney failure and its many complications. Surrounded by the love of his family. He graduated from Lehman high school class of 1961 and went on to proudly serve his country in the US Army. Thereafter joining The Timken company, where he retired after over 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis(Bun) and Charolette. Brothers, Jerry and Jack. Sisters, Mary Ellen and Kathleen. Also his loving wife of over 45 years, Carol Jean (Smith)Holl. Survived by his children, Dana, Dan(Shelley) Dr Douglas(Sally)Holl; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was a devoted family man, lover of animals and enjoyed a many trips to his favorite place in Canada, with his family. He loved much and was loved much. He will be sorely missed and will forever be fondly remembered, in the hearts of those who knew him. The family thanks Davita, all the medical professionals, aides, caregivers, skilled facilities and hospital workers who cared for him thru the years. The family asks in lieu of flowers to donate, on his behalf, to the stark county humane society or charity of choice.
