Mr. David Ray Kitchens, age 69, a resident of Dierks, AR, died Saturday, June 28, 2025, at his home.
He was born March 6, 1956, in De Queen, AR. He worked at Weyerhaeuser for 43 years. He was a Baptist and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved his cows and cats.
Mr. Kitchens was preceded in death by his parents, Dorman Ray and Rogerlene McFarland Kitchens, and his mother-in-law, Billie Brock.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Michele Kitchens; one son, Zack Kitchens of Dierks, AR; two daughters and son-in-law, Katee and Sawyer Kesterson of Lockesburg, AR and Baylee Kitchens and Sam Morphew of Langley, AR one brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Debbie Kitchens of Umpire, AR; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Laura and Kerry Strasner of Umpire, AR, Beth and Ken Jackson of Dierks, AR and Jill Sharp also of Dierks; his grandchildren, Owen Morphew, Maggie Morphew and Gus Kesterson; his father-in-law, Bobby Brock of Dierks, AR and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Missy and Justin Smith of Dierks, AR and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Kitchens will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks with Bro. Scott Kitchens officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Nashville, Arkansas.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the funeral home in Dierks.
