It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dawn Sherri Turnbough, who left this world on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the age of 54, with her family by herside. Born on October 16, 1970, Dawn lived a life rich in compassion and dedication, deeply impacting all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Dawn was employed with the Division of Family Services for 29 years, where she ultimately retired in April 2025. as Circuit Manager. Her career was driven by a loving heart for children; she passionately contributed to the community and played a significant role in initiatives such as the Child Abuse Awareness Parade. Dawn's commitment to her work demonstrated her kind heart, always prioritizing the needs of others above her own. Her leadership qualities also shone through as she guided her team members with kindness and respect.

Dawn graduated from Valley High School in 1989, subsequently attending Southeast Missouri State University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. Further pursuing her dedication to helping others, she attended the University of Missouri (Mizzou) to obtain her Master's Degree in the same field. Her educational achievements were a testament to her lifelong commitment to making a difference in people's lives.

Known affectionately by her family as "Bobby," a nickname lovingly given her by her grandson, Ryder. Dawn spread joy and warmth wherever she went, always willing to lend a helping hand. Her passion extended beyond her profession; she was an avid fan of Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever Basketball Team, and found joy in watching her favorite television shows, including "Friends," "Law and Order," and various cooking programs. Dawn loved the great outdoors, enjoying activities like hiking, jeep rides, and camping. Additionally, Dawn loved going to Navarre Beach. She had a special fondness for her Frenchie puppies, Reba and John, who brought her immense happiness. Above all, Family was everything to her. She loved spending time with her family, playing games and making memories.

Dawn held a deep faith in the Lord and was actively involved in outreach work with her New Hope Church family, where she continued to share her love for children.

Dawn's memory will be cherished by her spouse, Patty Scott; her three children: Cara Will (Sheila Umfleet), Takiesha Randazzo (Adam), and Jerry Cluck (Cassidy). She was a proud grandma to seven grandchildren: Mason, Ryder, Talon, Dawson, Cameryn, Cora, and Cassie, as well as a bonus son and grandson, Eli Kean and Zeke. Dawn is also survived by her father-in-law, Wayne Scott, along with many other extended family members and incredible friends.
