Dean Gouge, age 70, of Young Cove Road in Bakersville, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025 at his home.
Born in Washington County Tennessee, he was the son of the late Harold and Marie Young Gouge.
Dean was a charter member and deacon of the Mitchell Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He had been in automobile sales since 1976 and had been the owner of Alpine Motors for thirty-five years.
He was a Godly man and loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. He also loved his church and church family. He enjoyed farming and his cattle and working on cars. He was widely known as the most honest car salesman ever.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of forty-nine years; Donna Holland Gouge of the home, his daughters; Deanna Gouge of Bakersville and Katie McKinney and husband, Andrew of Bakersville, and his grandchildren; Holland, Charlotte, Reuben and Eleanor.
The funeral service for Dean Gouge will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev's Andrew McKinney, Mark McKinney and Blake Glenn officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Green Young Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites provided by Sgt. E.L. Randolph Chapter #57 D.A.V.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to; Mitchell Baptist Church. www.mitchellbaptistchurch.org or American Cancer Society, www.donate.cancer.org
