Delmas Farrar Obituary

Delmas E. Farrar, age 90, of Rutledge, went to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Born in Grainger County in 1935 to Tip and Grace Farrar and he had one sister who also preceded him in death, Evelyn Rule. He was a longtime member of Oakland Baptist Church where he served faithfully. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Shackelford Farrar; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and James Curry of Duncanville, AL; daughter, Amy Farrar; granddaughters, Abigail and Emily Curry of Northpoint, AL. Family and friends will meet at Oakland Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 30th at 1:00 PM for a graveside service officiated by Pastor Stacey Lawson. In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to the Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 15050 Lakeshore Rd, Rutledge, TN 37861. Fielden Funeral Home is honored to serve the Farrar family.
