Delmas Franklin Myers, age 79 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday evening, July 22, 2025, at the E. A. Hawse Healthcare Center in Baker, WV. Born on July 18, 1946, in Fisher, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Isaac Myers and Ida Susan Reel Myers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Corey J. Snyder, a stepson, Richard Crites, II, four sisters, Ella Mae Whiteman, Cozetta Evans, Loretta Wilson and Norma Hines and seven brothers, Karl Myers, Robert Myers, Melvin Myers, Ronnie Myers, Edgar Myers, Wayne Myers and Jerry Myers.
A member of the Rig Assembly of God Church, Delmas spent his working years as an equipment operator with C.W. Wright Construction Company. He loved his family, was a teacher of a strong work ethic who loved to joke with many. Most everyone was familiar with his truck around town with his lawnmower as he loved to mow grass and his uncontrollable spirit shone brightly during his playful rivalries, particularly when cheering for his beloved Dallas Cowboys.
Surviving is a daughter, Jennifer N. Ours of Moorefield, WV; stepsons, Troy (Robin) Crites of Spring Mills, WV and Patrick Crites of Martinsburg, WV; brothers, Roger Myers of Chantilly, VA, Riley Myers and Louie (Debra) Myers both of Moorefield, WV; six grandchildren: 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted 1;00 PM Monday, July 28, 2025, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brad Taylor officiant. Interment will follow in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV. Family will welcome guests from 11:00 AM until the time of service, ready to share stories and laughter—the same way Delmas would have wanted.
Pallbearers will be: Mark Hines, Adam Myers, Daniel Myers, Phillip Myers, Kerry Crites and Paul Myers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ben Johnson, Beau Myers and Maddex Welton.
