Deloris Marler, 87 of Paducah, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Southgate Nursing & Rehab in Metropolis, Illinois.
Deloris was born in Benton, Kentucky on August 21, 1937 to the late Delbert Jones and Lillian Mae Copeland Jones. Alongside her late husband, Jessie Marler, Deloris was the proud owner and operator of The Golden Carrot Natural Foods in downtown Paducah. Her greatest passion in life was helping others. She loved the Lord deeply and trusted Him completely in every aspect of her life. Deloris was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Speed of Plano, TX; two grandchildren, Michelle Speed of Dallas, TX and Geoff Speed, wife, Michelle of Paducah, KY; one great-grandson, Patrick Speed; brother-in-law Frank Marler and wife, Jeanette; sister-in-law, Barbara Jones and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Jessie Ray Marler and her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at New Zion Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 W 5th St, Benton, KY 42025.
Memorial contributions may be made to: New Zion Cemetery Fund, c/o Donald Lane, 3993 Mayfield Hwy, Benton, KY 42025.
