Demarcus Brown Obituary

Demarcus L. Brown of Richmond, departed this life Saturday, May 26th, at the VCU Medical Center, Richmond, VA.
He was born November 14,1985 and attended Sussex Central High School. He was employed with Bottoms Up Pizza and was known for loving to tell jokes and his hard work ethic. He was also a Dallas Cowboys fan, loved watching the news, 90s sitcoms and his alone time. But his most favorite role was being a father to his children. He loved them very much!
Demarcus was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Brown; his grandmother, Eliza Mae Meade-Brown; his grandpa, TJ; his uncle Percy Johnson and John; and a cousin, Jessica Johnson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted parents, Kenneth Moore (Cynthia); his loving children, Latoya Thorpe, Markayla Brown, Day"Mir Brown, De'Mari Brown, and Dream Brown; five brothers, Antoine Brown, Eric Brown (Lekendra), David Brown, Christopher Farley, and James Brown; one sister, Lateefah Farley; grandmother, Margaret Moore; aunts, very devoted, Ella Jones (William), Nancy Meade, Sarah Atkins (Robert), Flossie Foster, Brenda Rowlett (George), Mary Chambliss (James), Aleesha Blue (Tyrone), Lena Mae Burrow (Pete) and Margaret Johnson (Curtis); uncles, Ronnie Brown (Annie) and Wilson Brown (Fannie Mae)' cousins, Joshua Burkes, Anthony Reid, James Reid, Tameika Brown, Arlisha Brown, and Kendra; lifelong friends, SharDeja Ward, Sheena Thorpe and Michael Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm, Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at Galilee Baptist Church, 12392 Lee Ave., Stony Creek, VA. Interment will follow in the Parham, Taylor and Winfield Family Cemetery, Stony Creek. Public visitation will be held from 10am-8pm, Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Petersburg chapel of Bland Funeral Home, 137 Harrison Street, Petersburg, VA.
