Denis Rodrigue Obituary

WEST STEWARTSTOWN – It is with great sadness that his family announces the passing of Denis G. Rodrigue, 81, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He died peacefully at his home in West Stewartstown on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, with his wife and family by his side. He was born on July 10, 1944, in St-Ephrem beauce, Quebec, a son to the late Dorilas and Antoinnette (Roy) Rodrigue. In his late teens, he worked as a lumberjack. He then worked as a foreman for Sav-on-Wall for 35 years. Denis loved snowmobiling, deep-sea fishing, watching hockey and baseball. He spent many hours riding his Cam-Am Spyder. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Michelle (Leriche) Rodrigue; 3 children, Kathleen Staley (Charles Staley), Karl Rodrigue, and Daniel Rodrigue (Sheri Rodrigue). He leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Alexander Robertson (Sarah Robertson), Aaron Rodrigue (Brenda Rodrigue), Joshua Robertson (Samatha Ford), Austin Bennet (Mathew Bennet), and Dylan Rodrigue. He also adored his 2 great-granddaughters, Elisa Rodrigue and Josephine Rodrigue. He has 3 godchildren, Alexander Robertson, Christine Adams and Vicky Rodrigue and many nieces and nephews. He is survived by 2 brothers, Robert Rodrigue (Francyne Rodrigue), Luc Rodrigue, one sister, Simone Rheeume, and one sister-in-law, Adrienne Rodrigue. He also spent a lot of time with his good friend Gilles Breault. In addition to his parents, Denis is predeceased by his brothers, Dieudonnee Rodrigue, Yvonne Rodrigue, Normand Rodrigue, Jacques Rodrigue and Alberic Rodrigue; and one sister, Marie-Marthe Cloutier. He is also predeceased by 4 brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law. No public services will be held at his request. A personal Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
