Denise Gee was born on August 22, 1963, in Selmer, TN, she was the cherished daughter of Junior Weatherly and the late Shelby Burkeens Weatherly. A proud graduate of McNairy Central High School, Denise's journey through life was one filled with love, family, and a deep sense of community.
On March 25, 1983, Denise joined hands in marriage with Bobby Gee, embarking on a beautiful partnership that would last a lifetime. Her devotion to her work at the McNairy County Jail for twelve years, McNairy County Hospital, and McNairy County Healthcare showcased her compassionate nature, always putting others first.
She was faithful to attend at both Piney Grove Church of God and Forty Forks Baptist Church, Denise's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found joy in the simplest of pleasures; crafting, canning, and photography were among her favorite hobbies. She delighted in cooking and shopping and cherished her time spent at horse shows and rodeos. A lover of horses, she embraced each moment, inviting family and friends into her home, ensuring no one felt alone.
Denise departed this life on August 5, 2025, in Ramer, Tennessee, at the age of 61 years, 11 months, and 14 days. She will forever be remembered as a remarkable wife, devoted daughter, loving mom, and adoring grandmother. Her legacy endures in the hearts of her family: her husband, Bobby; son, Danny Gee and his wife Brittney; daughter, Michelle Bowen and her husband Jimmy; three grandchildren-Jessey Speck, Trevor Gee and his wife Katie and Kylie Bowen. She is also survived by her father, Junior Weatherly and his wife Brenda; a brother Terry Weatherly and Becky; a nephew Jake Weatherly; a niece, Hannah Weatherly; and an extended family that cherished her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Shelby Burkeens Weatherly.
Though Denise has left this earthly realm, her love will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched. She remains a beacon of light and inspiration, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
