With grateful hearts, we announce that Dennis H. Lemke joined the open arms of his heavenly father on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the age of 84. His passing was the result of an automobile accident. Dennis was born on March 3, 1941. When Dennis was just three years old, he and his brother Mike were adopted by the late Arnold and Alma (Brockman) Lemke.
Dennis, a lifetime farmer in Shiocton and steward of the land, was very involved in 4H his entire life and even served on the livestock board. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church where he ushered for many years and was a member of Men of the Outdoors. He enjoyed going to high school sporting events and playing sheepshead with friends. Dennis was well known for telling it like it is.
Dennis is survived by his children, Annette Peters, Randy Lemke, and Debbie (Jim) Lang; his grandchildren, Nick (Corie) Peters, Paige (Matt) Hotovec, Adam Lang & special friend Alicia, and Katherine Lang; six great-grandchildren; numerous relatives; friends; and the mother of his children, Carol Lemke.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Alma; his brother, Mike Lemke; his son-in-law, Mark Peters; niece, Patty (DeBruin) Schweitzer; and his sister-in-law, Linda DeBruin.
The Memorial Service for Dennis will be held at 12:00 pm. on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London, Wisconsin, with Rev. William Heiges as celebrant. The visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Town of Ellington.
