Dennis Potter Obituary

Dennis Owen Potter, 86, a lifelong resident of Port Angeles, Washington passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, proving once again the man knew how to make an exit with fireworks.

Dennis was known for his independence, direct manner and unwavering sense of self. Deeply rooted in his hometown, he was an active and dedicated member of the community throughout his life. Dennis was involved with both the Moose Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles where he formed lasting friendships and gave back through service, camaraderie and support for local causes.

He is survived by partner, Darlene Gahring, his children Casey O'Neil (Frank), Steve Potter (Julie) and Lisa Cordero (Paul White) plus a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Seward as well as former wife, Marjorie (Elsie) Potter and the mother of his children, Jeany Potter.

At his request, no services will be held. Those who knew Dennis are invited to raise a glass in his honor, preferably somewhere with a view of the Strait.
