Dennis M. Slusser, Sr., 66, of Camden, Delaware, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Dennis was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence brought warmth, humor, and strength to everyone around him. Born on June 28, 1959, he lived a life marked by service, kindness, and commitment to others. He was a proud graduate of Rutgers University, earning his degree in 1982. In his youth, Dennis achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, a reflection of the responsibility and character that would define his life. He retired from the New Jersey Court System after a fulfilling career, finishing his service as a Judiciary Intensive Supervision Program (ISP) Officer. He later continued to make a difference in the lives of young people as a beloved paraprofessional, where he was affectionately known by students and staff as "Mr. Dennis." Dennis found his greatest joy in his family. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and could often be found working on projects around the house, always with a helping hand and a generous heart. His seven beloved grandchildren (Winter, Everly, Maeve, Liam, Elliemae, Elliott, and August) were the light of his life. He was known by many for his big heart, his unwavering willingness to lend a hand, and the quiet strength that anchored those he loved. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Slusser; his children, Dennis M. Slusser, Jr. and his fiancée Allison, Kaitlyn Stiles and her husband Paul, and Stephanie Craig and her husband Daryl; his grandchildren, who brought endless joy into his life; and his brothers and their wives: Charlie and Kim Slusser, Christopher and MaryJane Slusser, and Bill and Theresa Slusser. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Slusser. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. The viewing will begin at 10 AM, with the service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Woodstown. Dennis will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love he gave so freely and the example he set in living a life of purpose, humility, and heart.
