Devada Louise Roe, 77, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Devada was born on December 25, 1947, in Porum, Oklahoma, the daughter of Loyd Elmer and Devada Vetagene (Murray) Morris.
She graduated from Checotah High School and later married Paul Roe. To this union two children were born. Nothing brought more joy to her than her grandchildren.
Devada's kitchen was the heart of her home, where her recipes were made with love and memories. Devada was an amazing cook. She believed food could bring people together and she was right. She affected everyone's life that she met.
Devada is survived by her daughters, Veta Hill and her husband, Randy and Regina Roe both of Checotah; her grandchildren, Clayton Keithley, Michael Keithley, Dillon Hill, Sadarra Whittle, Summer Snead and her husband, Kevin and Coalton Akers and his wife, Tommie; her five great grandchildren; her brother, Earl Tim Morris and his wife, Brenda of Checotah and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Devada Morris; her husband, Paul Roe; her brothers, Perry Morris and Jacky Clay Morris.
Viewing and visitation for Devada will be Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 p.m. and Monday, June 30, 2025, from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Honoring Devada cremation is planned. A Celebration of Life for Devada will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hunn Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 211 W. Okmulgee St., Checotah, Oklahoma 74426.
