Diana was a beloved hairstylist who proudly owned and operated Styles in Motion in Oak Ridge, NJ for 26 years. She poured her heart into everything she did, especially cooking for the people she loved. Sundays were her favorite, filled with warmth, laughter, and her famous Sunday dinners shared with family and friends. She also cherished evenings at The Tavern at Crystal Springs Resort, a favorite neighborhood spot where she shared laughs and made memories with her Windsor Court neighbors. Diana's love, generosity, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Diana is predeceased by her husband, Donald Matthews(2013) and is the devoted mother of Dylan Matthews and his wife, Nicole of Vernon Twp., NJ and Demi Sires and her husband, Daniel of Vernon Twp., NJ. Loving Nana of Donavan, Nixon, Navalynn, Diemrae and Deacon. Cherished daughter of Barbara Istvan of Hardyston Twp., NJ. Dear sister of Debbie Schwiedereck of Rehoboth Beach, DE. Niece's Brittany Kaelin and Megan Toumey. Sister in law of Donna and Jerry Malay of Greenwood Lake, NY. Daughter in law of Mary Matthews of Greenwood Lake, NY.
The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, Nj on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 2-5 PM. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, Milton, NJ at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at St. Thomas Cemetery, Milton, NJ. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers to the Vernon PAL would be greatly appreciated.
