Diana Webster of St. Vincent, MN, passed away July 5, 2025, in Hallock Memorial Nursing Home, Hallock, MN, under the care of HIA Hospice.
Diana Ziesman was born May 1, 1926, in Korosten, Russia, (now Ukraine), to Ludwig and Olga Ziesman. When she was 6 months old, her parents, grandparents, and 5 year old brother immigrated to Canada and settled in Morris, Manitoba, Canada. Through the years, 3 sisters and 3 brothers were added to the family. Two brothers died in infancy, due to illness. Diana had to quit school after 6th grade to help out with support for the family. Diana worked for some farm families, helping with child care, cooking, and taking care of farm animals. As she got older, Diana worked in homes, doing domestic work, including cooking, cleaning and doing nanny work.
On December 18th, 1948, Diana married Moris Webster of St. Vincent, MN, and became an American citizen. Moris farmed with his brother, Rodney, and later added a trucking business. Diana loved gardening raising both vegetables and beautiful flower gardens. She was a stay at home mother, and raised 3 children; June, Keith, and Dale. In later years, Moris and Diana would winter in Mesa, Arizona. Moris died in November of 2018. Diana moved to the Hallock Nursing Home at that time due to dementia.
Diana is survived by a daughter, June (Dwight) Anderson of Kindred, ND; sons, Keith (Bev) of Tok, Alaska and Dale (Judy) of St Vincent, MN; a sister, Evelyn of Grand Forks, ND; a brother, Edward (Carol) of BC, Canada; a brother-in-law, Barney (Joyce), Hamel, MN; grandchildren, Ken (Sarah), Barry (Melissa), Della, Lisa, Hailey (Jake), and Noah (Victoria); 9 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Moris; 2 sisters, Emily and Elsie; a brother, Herman; brother-in-law, Rodney, and his wife, Jean; sister-in-law, Virginia; 2 infant brothers; an infant child; and a grandson, Jeremy Anderson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Austin Funeral Chapel, 326 South Atlantic, Hallock, MN.
