It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diane Abarta, who left this world on May 26, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on May 7, 1947, in Glendale, California, Diane's journey was defined by her unwavering faith, love for family, and appreciation for nature.
Diane cherished her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ron Abarta, and her beloved sons, Steve, Dave, and Mike. She also found immeasurable joy in her nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Josephine Maier, and is remembered fondly by her brothers, Richard and Bill Maier, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and faith.
Diane graduated from Glendale California High School in 1965, and her career in retail sales was distinguished by her commitment to customer service and her warm, approachable personality. An active member of the Valley of Blessing Church, Diane's faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her dedication to her community and her church was a testament to her belief in blessing every life she touched.
A lover of family gatherings, Diane found peace and happiness in the great outdoors, often immersing herself in hiking and gardening. She had a particular fondness for birds, and watching them filled her with joy, reflecting her deep appreciation for the creations around her.
In remembrance of Diane Abarta, let us carry her spirit of love, faith, and kindness in our hearts, ensuring that her legacy lives on through each of us.

Diane's life will be celebrated at a memorial service held at 1pm on July 12, 2025, at the Valley of Blessing Church, located at 243 U.S. Hwy 12, Chehalis, WA 98532. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and share in the love Diane exuded throughout her life.
