Dianne Lee Pekarek (née Howell), 83, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, in her hometown of San Diego,California. Born on July 14, 1942, also in San Diego, Dianne lived a full and vibrant life rooted in love for her family and a zest for adventure.

Dianne was known for her outgoing spirit, adventurous heart, and deep affection for those around her. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life traveling to new places, enjoying the beach, camping under the stars, sharing meals at her favorite restaurants, and cheering on her favorite baseball and football teams. But above all else, Dianne cherished time spent with her family.

Dianne was predeceased by her beloved "Mother" Jeanne Parker Northrop, her loving father "Daddy" Norman Lloyd Howell (Hafner) and her cherished brother "Butch" Norman Lloyd Howell II.

She was immensely proud of her children: Ernest Pekarek III ( Barbara), Leanne Turner, and Pam Brill. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren-Ryan Brill (April), Rick Brill (Geneva), Traci Brainard (Derek), and Jeweli Anderson (Korey)- great-grandchildren: Ryder Brill, Berlynn Brill, Parker Brill, Rhett Brill, Cruz Brainard, Mia Brainard, Kayli Anderson, Alexa McMurphy, and Mattix McMurphy. Nephews-Nicholas Payne (Jillian) Tony Payne (Jenny) Barnaby Payne (Jessica). Each one held a special place in her heart and brought her immeasurable pride and happiness.

Dianne is also survived by her beloved sister Judy Payne. Their bond remained strong throughout the years a testament to the enduring strength of family ties.

Those who knew Dianne will remember her as a woman who embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth. Whether planning a family outing or simply enjoying a game on television surrounded by loved ones, she brought energy and love into every moment.

May Dianne's memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. Her adventurous spirit and unwavering devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
