Donald Campbell Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald Arthur Campbell, 51, who departed this world on April 19, 2025 in Cheyenne, WY due to a car accident. Born on April 7, 1974 in Colorado Springs, CO he was the child of Betty and Charles "Chuck". He spent his formative years in Westminster, CO, later moving to northern Colorado, Milliken and Loveland. He attended school at Red Rocks Community College, earning an Associates of Science degree with welding certifications. For 17 years, Don and his father, Chuck, owned and operated Campbell Engineering, fabrication of custom off-road vehicles, precision custom machining and prototype work. Most recently, he worked as a Certified Welding Inspector in the pipeline industry for 13 years with various contractors including Tallgrass. He rebuilt and customized a 1961 Willis "Derangement" and a 1942 Jeep. Don enjoyed these vehicles on excursions to the mountains and Moab, UT for rock crawling.
Don was a dog lover, his bond with his dogs was a testament to his gentle spirit and the joy he found in their companionship. Don's light-hearted nature and infectious humor made him a beloved presence among his family, friends, and colleagues. His ability to bring laughter and positivity to those around him was truly remarkable.
Don is survived by his loving wife Susan, mother Betty, sisters Dianna "DeeDee" and Rita. His memory lives on with his stepdaughter Kalen and her children, Ethan and Melody, and his nieces, Tabitha and Charlotte. You are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. Don was predeceased by his father Chuck, and his son Seth.
As we gather to honor Don's life, we remember his profound impact on our lives and the undeniable mark he left on our hearts. His legacy will be carried forward through the many lives he influenced, and we find solace in knowing that his spirit continues to inspire us.
A funeral service will be held on May 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Viegut Funeral Home, 1616 N. Lincoln Ave. in Loveland, CO, where family and friends will come together to celebrate Don's amazing life. A celebration of life will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Big Dogs Huge Paws, reflecting Don's lifelong commitment to helping our furry friends.
