Donald & Judy McClead Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 14, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Dale McClead Sr. and Judy Ann McClead, a beloved dad, mom, grandpa, grandma, great-grandpa, great-grandma, and friend. Don passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the age of 82 and his loving wife passed away peacefully a few days later on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the age of 75. He was born on February 1, 1943, in Shippenville, Pennsylvania, to William Furl McClead and Gladys Virginia McClead. She was born on February 25, 1950 to Sam and Edna West Smith in St. Marys, WV.
They were married for 59 years, having been married on July 27, 1966. Don attended Lawrence School and went on to dedicate many years of his life working as a mechanic at Bob Dennis Automotive. Judy attended St. Marys High School and worked for many years at Marietta Memorial Hospital in housekeeping. Together they grew a beautiful family whom they dearly loved. They treasured the moments spent with their children and grandchildren. They enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as bird watching, spending time with their dog Molly, and watching their favorite shows, Looney Tunes and The Big Bang Theory and Detective Shows for Judy. They were dedicated to their family and loved spending time with them. Don's warmth, humor, and love will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Judy's kindness to everyone and dedication to her grandkids will be remembered by her friends and family. Their memory will live on in the hearts of their family and friends forever.
Don and Judy are survived by their loving children: Christina "Chris" Kiggans (Randy), Donald "Don" McClead Jr. (Brenda), Kevin McClead (Amanda), and Sam McClead (Linda). They were proud grandparents to Derek (Brenna Sisson), Tyler (Heather), Dillon Kiggans, Ashley Goddard (Robert), Crystal Slack (Trevor and Curtis), Ashley (Kaleb) Williams, Hannah Powell (Thomas), Emily McClead (Noah Spradlin), Bryan McClead, Joshua, Izabella, Cody, and Sylyna McClead. Their legacy continues with their great-grandchildren: Gavin, Jonas, Tanner, Maycee Kiggans, Colton McClead, Steven Goddard, Lillian, Raven, Waylon Slack, Donald Wheeler, Quinn Williams, Jadelyn McCoin, and two great-grandchildren on the way. They are also survived by Judy's sisters, brother, and their many nieces and nephews, all of whom them cherished deeply.
They are preceded in death by their parents; Don's two brothers and two sisters; and their cherished dog, Barney.
Abiding with their wishes, they will both be cremated and a private Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday.
