Donald J. Prettyman, age 73, passed unexpectedly, Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, at his home in Mantua, NJ. Born in Drexel Hill, PA, to parents Thomas and Myra Prettyman, Don was raised in Southern NJ with his siblings. He retired from a career at DuPont, where he worked as an Operator.

Don enjoyed spending his time going fishing, collecting coins, tossing horseshoes, and watching old Westerns, but his true joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Marchese and her husband, Robert of Woodbury Heights, NJ, and Jamie Polimeni and her husband, Salvatore of Sewell, NJ; also by their mother, Mary Reynolds and her husband, Michael Reynolds, as well as his grandchildren, Maverick, Mabel, Joanna, Donato, and Marigold, and his siblings, Kenny Prettyman, and June Friel.

Predeceased by his daughter, Leah Prettyman, his parents, Thomas and Myra Prettyman, siblings, Robert, Thomas, and Diane Prettyman.

Family and friends are invited to an evening visitation Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ, and a visitation Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Eglington Cemetery.
