Donald Williams Obituary

Donald Leroy Williams, 81, a resident of Bluejacket, Oklahoma, passed away surrounded by family at his home on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Donald was born in Miami, Oklahoma, on November 12, 1943, to Paul and Lillian (Jarvis) Williams. Donald graduated from Wyandotte High School. He married Bonnie Lou Williams on January 8, 1963, until she died in 2001 for a total of 38 years of marriage. He started work at B.F. Goodrich. Donald worked for B.F. Goodrich for twenty-three and a half years. He then worked for Miami Public Schools in district maintenance for many years until retirement. After retirement, Donald was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a police officer. Donald served as a police officer for the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, the Picher Police Department, North Miami Police Department, and the Quapaw Police Department. On February 8, 2002, Donald married Doris Squirrell. Together, they would spend many wonderful years.
Those left to share the memory of Mr. Williams include his wife, Doris Williams of the home, son, David Williams and his late wife Sherri Williams, of Miami, Oklahoma, son, Troy Williams and wife Jane Williams, of Miami, Oklahoma, son, Joey Williams and wife Rene' of Miami, Oklahoma, stepdaughter, Dione Dameron and husband James of Arizona, and late stepson, Daniel Judson. Donald was also a grandfather to eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his Brother Lonnie Williams of Owasso, Oklahoma, a sister Polly Johnson and her husband Jesse of White Oak, Oklahoma, his brother Gerald Williams and his wife Donna of Claremore, Oklahoma and his brother Bobbie Williams of Carl Junction, Missouri.
There will be a visitation for Mr. Williams from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 18, 2025, at Grace Church in Miami, with Reverend Phil Shyers officiating. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Casketbearers will be Mike Johnson, Filipe Alaniz, Troy Williams Jr., Clifford Johnson, Bill Fansler, and Mike Wiford.
Honorary Casketbearers will be his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
