Donna Marilyn (Johnson) Brown, 88, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at River Pointe Health Campus.
Donna was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 10, 1936 to the late Charles and Kester (Abbott) Johnson. She worked at St. Mary's Hospital as a nurse tech in the neonatal unit for 20 years. Donna loved dancing at the Gathering Place in Henderson. She also enjoyed singing and had a beautiful voice. Donna was a wonderful cook and was known for her fried chicken. Above all, she cherished time spent with family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Sigler (Mark) of Evansville, IN; sons, Jim Decker of Princeton, IN, Tim Decker of Evansville, IN, and Jeff Decker (Angie) of Evansville, IN; siblings, Monte Johnson of Evansville, IN, Jimmy Johnson (Rita) of Evansville, IN, Frances Johnson of Toledo, OH, and Bernadine Holder of Evansville, IN; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Gary Decker and Greg Brown; and sisters, Margaret Hayden, Christine Franklin, and Paulette Doom.
A celebration of Donna's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Brother John Zeigler officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A meal will be held immediately after the burial at The Gathering Place on Browning Funeral Home campus.
Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home.
