Donna Marie Gervino-Kennelly, age 68, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, at her home in Edgewater, Florida, surrounded by family and friends. Donna had been courageously battling cancer since January of this year.
Born on June 10, 1957, in Manhattan, New York, and raised in the Bronx, Donna was a loving wife, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and cherished friend. She shared a special bond with her twin brother, Michael, who survives her.
For the past 35 years, Donna made Florida her home, where she became a beloved figure in her community. She devoted her time to caring for children, treating each one she babysat as part of her own family. Her generosity extended beyond the home-she also volunteered twice a week at the local food pantry, offering her time and compassion to those in need.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Josephine, her sisters Dee, Rosalie, and Elaine, and her brothers Alfred and Joe.
Her kind heart, selfless spirit, and unwavering love for others will never be forgotten. Donna leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and quiet strength that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Life of Love
You gave without asking, Loved without end, A sister, an aunt, A neighbor, a friend.
In quiet deeds and open heart, You left your mark, a priceless part. Now in the breeze and ocean's sound, Your spirit walks on sacred ground.
We gather today not just to mourn Donna's passing, but to honor a life lived with grace, love, and generosity. May we each carry forward the warmth she brought to our lives-in kindness to others, in laughter, and in love.
