Donna J. Kimmes, age 96 of Red Wing and Cannon Falls, died on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the Benedictine Living Community in Red Wing.
Donna was born on April 22, 1929 in Faribault, the daughter of Clarence and Ruth (Chapman) Stageberg. She graduated from Zumbrota with the Class of 1948. Following her graduation, Donna worked as a telephone operator in Zumbrota and later moved to Cannon Falls. Donna also worked at Windy Acres, Kid Duds, and Triangle Auto.
On July 16, 1955, she was united in marriage to Leo Kimmes. They made their home in Cannon Falls. Donna was a long-time member of First English Lutheran Church, where she was active in various church circles.
Survivors include her children, JC Kimmes and Ruth (Mark) Revland; grandsons, Justin (Jamie) Revland, Jason, Joshua, and Jesse Revland, and Elisha Kimmes; great-grandkids, Makayla, Kiarra, Dominick, Devin, and Mitchel; great-great-grandkids, Raelynn, Kayce, and Callan; brother, Douglas Stageberg; brother-in-law, Tom Folsom; and many nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; daughter, Georgann; son, Paul; great-grandson, Karter Revland; and siblings, Randi Folsom, Niles (Marcy) Stageberg, Sharon Stageberg, and Janet (Kenneth) Otte.
A private family service will be at a later date.
