Donna Jeanne Michael Shelton, age 80, passed away July 27, 2025. Donna was born to the late Donald and Elena Loree Michael on June 30, 1945. She was raised in the Belfast community where she graduated from Belfast High School in 1963. After graduation she worked for Ohio Bell for many years. Donna married Gerald "Jerry" Shelton in August of 1965. They eventually settled in Danville, where they lived for over 50 years. Donna was known for her knitting, baking, and candy making skills. The fruits of these labors have been enjoyed by many throughout Highland County and beyond. In the community, Donna was a member of the Amvets Post 61 Ladies Auxiliary and Fraternal Order of Eagles 1161 Ladies Auxiliary. She had served two terms as Madam President for the Eagles Auxiliary and was a member of the Eagles Past President's Club. Most of all Donna enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was their biggest fan, supporting them in their activities including sports, 4H/FFA and all their other activities. Donna is survived by her husband, Jerry; son, Craig (Angie) Shelton; daughter, Kristi Cluff; and grandchildren, Lane and Kathryn Cluff and Sydney and Molly Shelton. She is also survived by her brother, John (Diane) Michael; sister-in-law, Carolyn Michael; and brother-in-law, Vic Gall; and many nieces and nephews who were very dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Richard Michael, Bill Michael, Carla Gall, and Debi Hauke. Visitation for Donna will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm at Turner & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cynthiana Cemetery.
