Donnie Brauen Obituary

Donnie G. Brauen, a resident of McKinney, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, at the age of 89 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 10, 1935, to her loving parents, Armine Marion Gaunt and Evelyn Josephine (Johnson) Gaunt in Wichita Falls, Texas. Donnie graduated from Hillcrest High School in Dallas. She met the love of her life, Duane D. "Butch" Brauen, celebrating their love and lifelong commitment to each other on their wedding day, July 13th, 1963, in Pensacola, Florida. Donnie became a full-time wife and mother.
Donnie is survived by her daughter, Stacy L. Brauen, of McKinney, Texas; son, Scott Brauen and his wife Christine, of Fairview, Texas; grandchildren, Lauren Brauen, Jourdan Brauen, and Ben Brauen; several nieces, nephews, and friends, who will miss her and cherish her memory.
Donnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Duane D. "Butch" Brauen; and her parents, Armine and Evelyn Gaunt.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, 75013.
The family will receive guests during a visitation from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
