Doris Bias, 90, of Elkhart, IN died unexpectedly at Elkhart General Hospital on March 1, 2025.
Doris was born in Nashville, TN to the late James and Ida (Turman) Jordan. Also preceding her in death are two sons, Trent and James, a sister, Mildred and her brothers, James and David Jordan.
On August 26, 1955, Doris married Alfred L. Bias. Al died December 28, 2012. Surviving are three sons: Les (Jenny) Bias, Alan (Lucie) Bias and Wayne Bias; nine grandchildren, Shanlynn, Elizabeth, Brianna, Katharine, Sydney, Alexander, Savion, Taylor and Trenton; four great-grandchildren, Ember, Booker, Ellis, Cameron and one due in the fall and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two sisters, Ruby Stephenson and Cora Arkle.
Doris was a wonderful and faithful wife, a fierce protector of her boys, a loyal Mother-in-Law, and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. We lost a dedicated and faithful Christian woman that will be truly missed. Our hearts are broken but we know we will see you again one day Mom.
Doris has been cremated and laid to rest with her husband and boys at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart. Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman is entrusted with arrangements.
Memorials can be given to Grace Lutheran Church, 831 W. Marion St. Elkhart, IN 46514.
