Doris Dianne McIntire passed away on July 9, 2025, in Seneca, South Carolina. Born on January 19, 1938, in El Segundo, California, Doris was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. She was a woman of deep faith, intelligence, and boundless love, traits that defined her throughout her 87 years of life.

Doris was the beloved matriarch of a large and loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Anna Ella Berryman, and her siblings Claude, Arthur, Betty, and George. She is survived by her devoted children, Dorian McIntire, Dianne Myers and her husband Carl, Damon McIntire and his wife Paige, Duane McIntire and his wife Cindy, and Daryl McIntire. Doris was a cherished grandmother to Seth, Ian, Anna, Ethan, Kyle, MaryEllen, Luke, Ben, Zach, Trent, Holli, and Adam, and she took immense joy in her role as a great-grandmother to twelve great-grandchildren. Her sister Elaine Foutch and brother Timothy Berryman, along with numerous nieces and nephews, also survive her.

Doris's commitment to education was evident when she achieved an associate degree in Accounting later in life, a testament to her belief in lifelong learning. She retired from a fulfilling career at Clemson University, where she served as an accountant for the Chemical Engineering department. Her colleagues remember her as a pillar of professionalism and kindness.

A faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church, Doris lived her faith and was an example of grace and compassion to her community. Her interests were a reflection of her nurturing spirit; she loved cooking for her family, tending to her garden, and opening her home for her grandchildren, who filled her life with laughter and joy. Doris also found pleasure in going to the movies, where she appreciated the stories and adventures on the big screen.

Doris's life was a tapestry of dedication to her family, her church, and her profession. Her intelligence shone brightly in her work, her loving nature was felt in the warmth of her home, and her faith-filled spirit was evident in her commitment to her church and community. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her, and her legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of her family and friends.

As we bid farewell to Doris Dianne McIntire, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of purpose, kindness, and love. Her journey on earth has ended, but her spirit continues to inspire those she has left behind. Rest in peace, dear Doris, until we meet again.

A memorial service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church on Saturday, July19th at 11:00 AM.
