Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home - TerrellDoris Medina, 88, of Forney Texas passed away peacefully on July 9th, 2025, at her home. Doris was born on November 1st, 1936, in Crandall Texas to parents: Morris Harvey & Ollie Mae Warren.
She graduated from Forney High School in 1955 and went on to work in various insurance roles including being one of the first regional underwriting directors. She retired after thirty odd years of service. Doris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, known for her kindness, generosity, and love of gardening.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Ysavel V Medina, her parents, and only sister Joy Dean Warren Travis. Doris, Nana to her family, is survived by her three sons: Ysavel M Medina and wife Marla, Andrew W Medina and wife Angela and Richard S Medina and wife Torri. Her nine grandchildren: James, Mark, Jessica, Jake, Erica, Alex, Victoria, Brooke and Andi Nicole; her seventeen great grandchildren: Ireland, Grace, Caleb, True, Davis, Noble, Pearl, Rosie, Valor, Lillie, Chloe, Aidan, Dorian, Everleigh, Presleigh, Dominic and Amiyah along with her week-old great-great grandson Jamie.
A Family graveside funeral service to celebrate Doris’ life will be held on July 17.
In lieu of f lowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior’s Project.
