Dorothy Moore Fowler, 80, our precious mama, went home to be with Jesus Sunday morning, July 13th, 2025. She was born on January 4th, 1945 in Newport News, VA to her late parents, Troy Moore and Sylvia Ramsey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Fowler, brother, Frederick Moore, and son-in-law, Greg Hicks.
Dorothy was a very loving and considerate mama and mamaw, never forgetting birthdays or anniversaries. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren on vacations, trips to Dollywood, and just spoiling them rotten. She always made time for ballgames, graduations, and any other presentations or school activities. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she was their biggest fan. She enjoyed doing her word search puzzles and reading her bible, and she always made the holidays fun and festive for everyone. She was loved by all and will be missed by all who knew her. We know she is at peace now at her heavenly home with her family and friends who passed before her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Miller (George) and Lisa Hicks; grandchildren: Anthony Ball (Amanda), Jessica Reed, Mark Reed (Deliah), Brianna Taylor (Josh), Paige Hicks, Peyton Hicks, Michael Ellison and Makayla Ellison (David); several great grandchildren: Makenzie, Evan, Kyleigh, Emberleigh, Bryson, Zeke, Zane, Easton, Cooper, Pressley, Miles, Mason, Piper, and one on the way due in January; several extended family members; and many friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Hot Springs with Pastor Randy Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
