Dorothy Burgess Kight, age 95, of Shiloh, NC, died Friday, May 9, 2025, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Lillie Burgess Bowden and the widow of Walter Alvin Kight. She was a charter member of Riddle Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Dorothy was predeceased by a son, Alvin Wayne Kight; and a daughter, Judy Kight Brickhouse. She is survived by four grandchildren, Stacey Brickhouse of Elizabeth City, NC, Joseph Wayne Kight of Shiloh, NC, Sheila Jackson (Camron) and Christopher Kight all of Fayetteville, NC; and two great grandchildren, Joshua Kight and Lily Jackson.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Riddle Pentecostal Holiness Church, 945 S. Sandy Hook Road, Shiloh, NC 27974 with the Rev. Jon Mason officiating. The family will have a private burial at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at the church and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Riddle Pentecostal Holiness Church.
