Dorothy Ella Magnuson left us peacefully on August 22, 2025, just three days shy of her 100th birthday. Born on August 25, 1925, in Glenwood City, Wisconsin, Dorothy lived a life that touched many lives and left an indelible mark on her community.

Dorothy was a devoted homemaker, but her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her own family. She spent many fulfilling years working at the local drugstore in Glenwood City, where her warm smile and kindness always made customers feel at home. A proud farmer's wife, she dedicated her life to creating a loving atmosphere for her family, participating actively in her children’s and grandchildren’s school activities. She was a beacon of support and joy at every event.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Dorothy was involved with Holy Cross Church and the Ladies Aide, contributing countless hours to the Glenhaven Auxiliary and the Historical Society of Glenwood City. She found joy in quilting with her church group.

In addition to her devotion to family and community, Dorothy had a spirited side that shone through her love for travel after retirement with her dear friend, Becky Sempf. Whether she was playing cards or enjoying the thrill of snowmobiling, Dorothy approached every adventure with enthusiasm.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Geraldine (Ken) Krohn; her grandchildren Buffy (Adam) Thomsen, Jessica (Eric) McGillis, Heidi (Eric) Becker, Angie (Dan) Clauss, Katie (Jason) Creeger, Joe (Lora) Austin; great-grandchildren Gabby, Brooklyn, Ryan, Megan, Tyler, Charleston. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arnie; daughter Rita (Jim) Austin; sisters & brother Marge, Helen, Edwin, Eleanor.
