DOROTHY JUNE MENNELL OBITUARY
January 10, 1922 - June 20, 2025
Dorothy June Mennell (June) age 103 was born in Waterloo, Iowa, in Blackhawk County as Dorothy June Harrison and quietly passed away of natural causes at home in Sequim, Washington on June 20, 2025. She was predeceased by her then current husband, Herbert R. Mennell and parents Tate J. Harrison and Emma E. Young of Waterloo and a son Douglas C. Duignan.
Bert and June had a very successful candy store in Palm Springs CA. "Fun In The Sun Candies" which they closed for summers to travel the world, including countries in the continents of South America, Europe and Africa. June favored Africa and her adventures there. After Bert's passing she moved to Sequim, Washington where she worked in a gift store, did volunteer work for several years and pursued her hobbies.
June is survived by her children Phyliss Ayers of Ohio, Walter Robert Pringle III, Dan Edward Pringle both from Florida and Dennis William Duignan currently of Washington and their spouses. She had eight grandchildren, six Great grandchildren and six Great Great Grandchildren.
There are no services or memorials.
