Douglas Cordle Obituary

Douglas Eugene Cordle, age 77, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in a Prestonsburg, Kentucky hospital.
He was born in Raven, Virginia and was the son of Bernice Lawson Cordle of Raven, Virginia and the late Eugene P. Cordle.
He was a retired Administrative Law Judge for the United Mine Workers of America. Doug graduated from Richlands High School Class of 1966 and received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administration from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Funeral services for Douglas Eugene Cordle will be conducted Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 1pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Annette Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Members of the Casey-Shortt VFW Post #9640 will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may visit with the family from 11am until 1pm on Wednesday prior to the funeral at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
