Douglas Wynn Corey, age 62 of Northville, Michigan, a lifelong Detroit Lions fan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, 26 June 2025 after a battle with cancer. He faced the ups and downs of each season with unwavering hope and loyalty, embodying the true spirit of a Lions enthusiast. Doug's passion for the team was infectious, bringing joy and camaraderie to those who cheered alongside him through countless games and memorable moments. He will be remembered for his unwavering belief in the Lions, and for sharing that belief with everyone around him. Doug also had a love of Mountain Dew, so please remember him this upcoming Lions season and drink a Mountain Dew in his honor.
Doug was born Sunday, January 6,1963 to the parents of Jack and Thelma Corey. Doug is preceded in death by his Mother Thelma, Father Jack, Uncle Cliff and his Grandmother Ivah. Doug is survived by his beloved wife Mary, daughters Violet, Alesha, Melissa, Candice and Leanna, and son Anthony. Granddaughters Kiyla, Serena and Paisley, and grandson Preston. Brother Todd (Kelli), nephews Brent and Brandon. Aunt Joann, cousins Jay (Jessica), Tye (Cassia) and their 2 sons Cliff and Crash, countless family and friends. No funeral services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a monetary donation can be directed to Doug's wife Mary to help with household expenses and family needs following the loss of Doug.
