Douglas Leon Ferguson, who resided near Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at his home. He was born on February 16, 1941, in Savanna, Oklahoma, to the late Douglas Ferguson and Gladys (Doyle) Ferguson. He was 84 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dougie Leon Ferguson, Jr.; two brothers; and three sisters.
For many years, Doug worked in concrete and was a retired concrete finisher. He enjoyed watching Nascar Racing, football, and was a member of First Assembly of God in Van Buren. He loved his family very much and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jackie (Henderson) Ferguson; two daughters, Debbie Dunn and husband Joey and Susie Glassco and husband Jeff, all of Van Buren; two sisters, Imogene Barkley and husband Bill of Van Buren and Dora Polk and husband Richard of Coarsegold, California; a brother, Dale Ferguson and wife Connie of Ripon, California; six grandchildren, Cody Dunn and wife Lauren, Parker Dunn and wife Kylie, Hunter Dunn, Makenzie Parnell and husband Tyler, Sydney Plaggemeyer and husband Jimmy, and Ian Glassco; and five great-grandchildren.
