Douglas Wetherton Hodge, age 70, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away October 6, 2024. Preceded in death by his father Glen Hodge Sr., he is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Karen, his children Shannon (Kevin), Christopher, and Nicole (Michael), his four grandchildren Owen, Maya, Scarlett and Miles, his mother Norma, and three siblings Glen (Mary Lynn), Vernon (Patricia) and Cathie, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Doug was a graduate of Eastern HS in Middletown, KY. He received a BS from University of Louisville and an MBA from University of Kentucky and was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. Doug built his career at Dana Corporation and retired as a Division Controller. He was active in his community, serving at Turning Point Church (Bonita Springs, FL) and enjoyed Bible studies, teaching and serving at mission trips around the world. He also enjoyed golf and boating.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 26, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Stoess Funeral Home located at 6534 W State Highway 22 Crestwood, KY 40014. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to: Turning Point Church, 3405 Pelican Landing Pkwy, Bonita springs, Fl. 34135.
